Case:
Quite big size wall clock probably original masterpiece was made in Vienna court from venetian woodworkers in the 1700's. We restored it and made a replica including as much as possible. Made of solid lime wood and Italian walnut wood for the carved parts and american toulipier wood for the plain parts. Some plywood very finely made and plated by mirrored Italian walnut burl Ferrara's/Palladium execution; totally hand made by Mrs. Amrosi that by using a cutter joined the parts of walnut wood trunc in slice of 1mm thick eachother in a flyer that we applied inside and outside. Mr. Stefano made a fine walnut finish medium color and half shiny in order to uniform all the different parts before we had assembled them. Carvings have been made by Mr. Franco over the solid wood that just before Mr. Carlo had cleaned up from the not necessary wooden part by the machine carving hand controlled one by one so the refinishing was deeply and finest too. The woodworking process and skills make together a nice family of different person that like to cooperate and to reach such an high performance that each of them separately can not arrive. Mr. Giovanny hand bevelled all the oval front glass and the 2 side glasses. They allow an interior high louminosity. The long door has a solid brass metric hinges very stable during many many years. We also put 4 back levellers to allow the clock case not to touch the wall completely. Wooden selection has been made personally by our founder Mr. Antonio Altobel.
Movement:
Original German mechanical movement from the company Hermle, they do clock movements in the Black Forest since 1920 made of solid brass. It plays the “Bam” chime hourly and a single tone at the half hour. Clock movement features: self centring and self regulating. Clock winding weekly by rotating the cranc key in the 2 holes in the round dial. If you do not want the clock to chime simply wind up the right side cable only. Please rotate the minute hand clockwise only. Also German made by Hermle round dial embossed with 2 brass rings and printed black roman numerals over white color. Orginal Hermle German lire pendulum and weights. By rotating the bottom nut to the left the time slow down and if you rotate it to the right the pendulum disk moves up and so the clock will be faster. Nice large genuine emaille pendulum scale.
Warranty:
We grant 2 years totally worldwide. It has the specific operating and starting booklet in 2 languages included. Clock wood has been selected in 10 years so it's dry and safe itself. The movement easly come out to the front side just after unscrewing the 2 gray color bottom screws that fix it over the bracket brass color that hang it to the clock back side. If you send or bring back the old one we give you a new clock movement for free during the first 2 years and later at sole its cost. Anycase you do not need to repair or to ask people to come to your house. Simply self made replacement and per post sending back the old one to us.
