Case:
The clock case has been made in an unique piece of solid French Lime wood plus the top final carved separately. About 12cm high thick piece. Long natural drying for about 8 years and then the machine carving; during it the operator verifies continuosly the cut out of the extra parts of solid wood not needed for the real carving. Fully hand made carving and then sending by the carver man Mr. Franco. Clock sculpture is very detailed and finished by manual sending all around at 360°. At its back side we put a rotating round panel for an easy access to the movement. Outstanding Venetian lack mat acrilic finish. Very accurate sanding all around for a table top position. Basic white color with cracquelè, then the passionate genuine gold leaf application manually by artist Mrs. Laura. Moreover some small light colors over the flowers. Finely and according to the new laws for the safe environement. Small size but amazing result.
Movement:
Original German mechanical movement from the company Hermle, they do clock movements in the Black Forest since 1920 made of solid brass. It plays the Holland style “Bim-Bam” dual tone hourly and a double tone at the half hour. Clock movement features: self centring and self regulating. Clock winding weekly by rotating the key in the 2 holes in the brass round dial. If you do not want the clock to chime simply wind up the right side spring only. Please rotate the minute hand clockwise only. No pendulum but the “swiss escapement wheel” that swinging very fast makes the time keeping. Openable curved glass bezel, made of solid brass gold plated. Numbers are glued and white alu made and have printed black roman numerals. Do not overwind the 2 springs.
Warranty:
We grant 2 years totally worldwide. It has the specific operating and starting booklet in 2 languages included. Clock wood has been selected in 10 years so it's dry and safe itself. The movement easly come out from the back side just after unscrewing the clock hands and the front screw. If you send or bring back the old one we give you a new clock movement for free during the first 2 years and later at sole its cost. Anycase you do not need to repair or to ask people to come to your house. Simply self made replacement and per post sending back the old one to us.
