That's one of the first ever made clocks by the founder Antonio Altobel. He started by installing a movement inside a Venetian piece of furniture. At that time no top crest, no bottom door, small top door because no the moonphase…. But quickly it was such popular that he made so accurate that he started exporting it worldwide. Design is thin and gently but at the same time very solid becuase of the base legs are all that much tall and not applied under the base only. Moreover the gently carving in the base has not been applied but it's made by carving out all the missing part of wood 2cm thick all in front of the base. Side curved plywood parts have been curved in a couple by hand instead of insde the press machine. Woodworking processing still as done in 1945.
