Movement:
Original German mechanical movement from the company Kieninger, they do clock movements in the Black Forest since 1912 made of solid high thick brass large sized and shiny polished brass plates. It plays the 3 different long special chimes on 16 notes: Westminster chime, Ode to Joy Beethoven's and the Ave Maria Schubert's hourly. Then it plays one tone at 15 minutes, 2 tones at 30 minutes, and 3 tones at 45 minutes. Weekly wind by rotating the cranc key inside the 3 front holes at the dial instead of the chains in front of the pendulum. It also automatically may swap chime itself hourly. Very unique!! It has the true second hand that makes 60 seconds per each minute properly as one pendulum swing left to right side is a second. It has the long lire pendulum and decorated big size weights all them German made by the Jaeckle company since 1888. Clock movement features: self oiling, self centring, self regulating and you may rotate minute hand counterclockwise trouble free. Moreover clock may not chime night time from 10pm untill 7.15am automatically. Finally the clock movement very specially has the 4 dancers at dial top that each rotates itself and goes inside out quartely while clock is chiming, as per the church in Mary plaza in Muechen, Germany.

It was born in 1984 when the Polish-American designer Mr. Ed Karpinsky working for us in the High Point Furniture Market in North Carolina disigned that clock on several light transparent papers (still available at our own small museum in Sanguinetto Verona Italy) based on a Vittorian style British phone cabinet. At the very begining the model was very American, so during the years we mantained the exclusively craftmanship and we had adapted it to the different finishes by using the American Toulipier wood and before by developing the unique Kieninger dancer movement with 16 notes and the Jaeckle dial and by adding all the mirrors inside to cover all the back and side interior wood and sometimes by adding the glass shelves. Surely a limited edition grandafther clock because only our founder Mr. Antonio Altobel was able to transform a drawing in a real American table clock by using the requested high performed skills in doing it step by step, no machinery can help, that's real artisan piece of art in home, hierloom. Very louminous that has to illuminate all the surrounding area at the boom thanks to the low positioned bottom mirror, moreover the 3 top mirrors also reflect the room lighting.
