Because it's made all of solid American Toulipier wood finely selected even in the thin door. All bevelled glass made by Mr. Giovanni Casella even in the sides and in the large front arch and in the base too. It has the middle small drawer but clock can is very flexible and can stay down on the floor without the base and in any room corner location too due to the matching 45° sides. Fine plywood back side Tanganika plated. Very soft medium walnut finish and half shiny finish hand made by Mr. Stefano and done piece per piece before we had assembled it all during the movement testing period about 15 days for setting all the decorated accessories. The most important clock case feature are the 2 glass shelves that stay in the back of the pendulum side by side and they allow to display many small valuable souveniers. Also the clock case has the internal light 110v220v (please do not turn on the light 24h 7days!) By opening the door lock immidiately stands out and you can feel the hierloom you have in your home and look at the the clock movement fully lending an unique atmosphere of tradition and family feeeling. The 4 bottom round feet may be screwed off easly. You can screw to the top part on the base at your final destination.
Movement:
Original German mechanical movement from the company Kieninger, they do clock movements in the Black Forest since 1912 made of solid high thick brass large sized and shiny polished brass plates. It may play one of 3 different chimes on 8 notes: Westminster chime, Whittington chime and S. Michel chime quarterly. Then it plays the strokes hourly. Weekly wind by rotating the cranc key inside the 3 front holes at the dial, so no chains in front of the pendulum. It also automatically may swap chime itself hourly. It has the hand painted dial by old German impressionist artist Mr. Paul Merkte showing the major European monuments. It has the long lire decortated pendulum and the decorated big size weights too all them German made by the Jaeckle company since 1888. Clock movement features: self oiling, self centring, self regulating and you may rotate minute hand counterclockwise trouble free. Moreover clock may not chime night time from 10pm untill 7.15am automatically. Finally the clock movement very specially has the 4 dancers at dial top that each rotates itself and goes inside out quartely while clock is chiming, as per the church in Mary plaza in Muechen, Germany. The dancing figurines have been decorated and painted too. No second hand and moonphase in order to have the great full size paintings at dial and the big applied brass numerals too.
Warranty:
We grant 2 years totally worldwide. It has the operating and starting booklet in 16 different languages included. We also will include usb pen drive showing start up videos in English language too. Clock wood has been selected in 6 years so it's dry and safe itself. About the movement package it includes the dial hands once. So simply open the top door, it comes off to the front simply by unscrewing the 2 gray screws and if you send or bring back the old one we give you a new clock movement package for free during the first 2 years and later at sole its cost. Anycase you do not need to repair or to ask people to come to your house. Simply self made replacement and per post sending back the old one to us.
