The long tradition of Altobel’s luxury grandfather clocks has been officially recognized: on February 27th Antonio Altobel, founder of the company, and his son David were awarded in Verona for the longevity and continuity demonstrated in the production and processing of their works of art.

Antonio Altobel has become the protagonist of the 41st edition of the Premiazione della Fedeltà al Lavoro, del Progresso economico e del Lavoro veronese nel mondo: a recognition that Verona Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Craft and Agriculture grants only to 3 local companies every year.

The essential requirement for access to the public announcement and receive the certificate was having held 35 uninterrupted years of activity. Altobel’s company has done even more: in 2018 the business reached the first 50 years of its activity.

This important recognition goes in addition to the increasing interest and appreciation that Antonio Altobel’s work get daily: times have changed since the founder, still young, decided to start his activity, but the taste for quality and excellence has remained unchanged time after time. Antonio and David’s passion for their grandfather clocks is endless. «With great emotion, my father and I are here today to receive this award; we thank Verona Chamber of Commerce for this solemn recognition. For almost 10 years, I have continued my family business together with my sister Marzia. We export our classical and modern clocks worldwide for luxury homes and offices. In all these decades we have hired and trained many young people from the Bassa Veronese and then they opened their own business: we are proud to have passed on the art of wood to a good part of our fellow citizens» said David Altobel during the award ceremony.

You can find below some photos taken during the ceremony.
